Czeslaw Slania is dead

Czeslaw Slania, master engraver and designer of more than 1000 stamps worldwide, died on March 17, 2005. Slania was perhaps the greatest engraver of stamps the world has ever known, and was tremendously prolific during his lifetime, having designed stamps for 32 countries including the USA.
