Die hard fans of Notre Dame University football would like to see the legendary George Gipp on a US postage stamp. Emil Klosinski of Florida, a Notre Dame alumnus, is leading a campaign to get the famous football player honored on a US stamp by asking supporters to write letters to the Citizens Stamp Advisory Committee (CSAC). Gipp is widely considered to be one of the best all-around football players in history, and remembered for the famous saying “Win one for the Gipper”.
