Yesterday Canada Post issue their latest addition of the Canadian Wildlife High-Value Definitives stamp series. This se-tenant series is available in a pane of 16 stamps, souvenir sheet of 4 stamps, and official first day cover.
The White-tailed Deer can be found in the regions of southern Canada and in most of the United States, except for the Southwest, Alaska and Hawaii. The deer’s home range is usually less the a square mile, living in wooded area’s.
The Atlantic Walrus is labeled as a species at risk, with no estimates currently available on the number of Walrus in Canada. Walruses inhabit areas of Arctic water where there are ice floes drifting on the shallow waters above the continental shelf. During the winter, Walruses live in areas where water does not freeze. While they prefer living on ice, during the summer, they will live on coasts and beaches.
