I am conducting a survey that will provide data necessary for the completion of a project I am doing for my Research Methods and Communication class at the California State University – East Bay. This class is one of the last classes I need to take to complete a Masters in Business Administration degree. The project revolves around the idea of creating a reverse auction website for stamp collectors. At this site, stamp collectors would be able to upload a want-list of stamps for their collection, and receive “bids” for fulfilling those needs from multiple (hopefully) dealers. The purpose of this survey is to ascertain the need for such a service among the online population of stamp collectors and dealers. All data collected will be kept in the strictest confidence and will only be presented in summary manner with no identifying characteristics whatsoever with respect to the respondents. In fact, other than demographic data, there will be no way that I will be able to identify who the respondents are. I cannot say whether this idea will ever become reality or not, but the data you provide will help me to determine the future of the project. Thank you in advance for participating in my survey.
