Faster than you can fill out your Christmas cards, the new Canada Christmas Stamps have arrived today. Creches are the main theme of thiese four stamps, with one holiday snowman. All four self-adhesives have some interesting printing involved.

Lowe-Martin went all out in the printing of the die-cut stamps, using a seven-color lithography on the creche stamps and six-color lithography on the snowman stamp with a holographic stamping.

Breaking down the postage you will find that the 85¢ stamp pays the letter rate to the U.S., the $1.45 stamp pays the international letter rate, and the 50¢ Snowman stamp Canadian rates.

The four stamps shown here, in order are:
- A Christmas Creche design (85¢) designed by artist Keena. This stamp has an American Indian and Eskimo creche.
- The snowman stamp comes with holographic printing that glistens like sun on the snow. (50¢) This stamp is in booklet form.
- Another Christmas Creche scene of Joseph, Mary, and the baby Jesus ($1.45). This design comes from Canadian sculptor Sylvia Daoust.
- Last shown is another Christmas Creche design of Joseph, Mary, and the baby Jesus. This also has a donkey, lamb and star. (50¢) This design comes from the painted clay figure creche by Michel Forest.
