Also today, January 12, 2006, Canada releases their stamp of Queen Elizabeth’s 80th Birthday.
Canada’s commemorative is a royal tribute to the Queen who will turn 80 on April 21, 2006. Similar to the stamp issued celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee in 2002, this special commemorative will be reprinted as needed. The .51-cent stamp is the only design and will be featured as a pane of 16 stamps. The image shows the Queen with the public at the RMCP Museum and Stables, located in Ottawa.
