I have just spoke with a branch of the USPS in Elk Grove, California who received word from the USPS main office that due to a “major error in printing” ALL Lunar New Sheets will have to be reprinted.
He would or could not specify on the nature of the problem, other than to say it was related to using the same design as last year.
I interpreted that to mean one of the following:
1) They printed with .37-cent and 2005 date
2) They printed with .37-cent and 2006 date
3) They printed .39-cent and 2005 date
In either case, there could be the possibility that some errors will slip through. So be on the watch for the Lunar New Year Sheets.
