One of the perennial discussions among stamp collectors is that kids aren’t interested in in it anymore. Instead, they’d rather do things like play video games or watch television or other obesity-inducing activities. As a new parent, I struggle with my child to get him interested in other things besides watching TV even at the age of 3. That tube is certainly a powerful influence over children today, sometimes to the point where I would just like to toss the TV out the door so I don’t have to hear him ask to watch it again. Today, there is an article over on the Better Homes and Gardens website about the importance of hobbies for children. The author pretty much agrees with the general opinion held by stamp collectors that children would be much better served by finding a good hobby for many reasons.
