In yesterday’s (July 14) Newburport Current there is a lengthy article about stamp collecting and the Newburyport stamp club. The article describes how the club was formed using a list of local collectors obtained from the APS. The author either is a stamp collector or an excellent researcher, as she mentions all the right things such as the APS and Linn’s stamp news. As I always say, I wish that we would see more articles in the mainstream press. It is heartening to note, though, that it seems to be happening more often in the last year or so. This is probably due to Washington 2006 raising awareness of stamp collecting around the country. Here is the link to the article.
