As many of you know, back in June David Giles and I formed a new study group under the umbrella of the United States Stamp Society (USSS) for those interested in the collecting and study of the Americana Series of US stamps issued between 1975 and 1981. We are now about to send out the third issue of our newsletter, the Iron Betty, and our membership has grown to about 27 people. We have also finally put up our website at the following link: Americana Series Study Group. If you are at all interested in the Americana Series, I suggest that you have a look at the site and consider joining our little group. The site has a discussion board (open to ASSG members only), a gallery of Americana stamps, philatelic news, past issues of our newsletter, and current listings of Americana items on eBay.
