Tuesday January 9, 2006 is the day you can obtain Year of the Pig stamps from Christmas Island. This year’s issues complete the twelve year series of Lunar New Year stamps by Christmas Island. The stamps were designed by Luis Chiang, with both the .50-cent and $1.45 stamps having spot gold foiling. The stamps are also available in prestige booklet, mini-sheet, 12-year cycle sheetlet, and a stamp and coin cover.
