If you’re a woman, feel free to skip over this post, as you may find it mildly offensive. If you do choose to read it, don’t say I didn’t tell you so, though you can feel free to leave a comment if you like. Now, to the post:
Over at TheSpoof.com, there’s a story about a “study” that concludes that women are not attracted to male philatelists. A direct quote from the story:
Penelope Black, the report’s author, explained: “Only 5% of women had knowingly slept with a philatelist and only one woman from our sample admitted using a postal accessory as a regular part of her lovemaking routine. Most also said they were more likely to go to bars to meet new men, rather than stamp collecting clubs.”
Now, keep in mind that only 20 women were surveyed, and there is no indication whatsoever as to the demographics of these women, nor the qualifications of Ms. Black. I’d suggest, by the name of the site, that this “survey” is not exactly scientific in nature. What disturbs me, though, is that they chose philatelists to pick on. Why not accountants or janitors or bus drivers? You can read the full story here, and perhaps you can leave a nasty comment or two for them.

ps. Make sure you read the disclaimer at the bottom of the story before you get too mad…
