It’s plentiful, colorful, and fruity…it’s Malta Posts latest stamp issue. Issued April 16, 2007 is a sixteen-stamp sheetlet of fruit stamps, designed by artist Andrew Micallef. These stamps will cover the current .08-cent value.
Due to the semi-temperate climate of the Maltese Islands, fruits are grown in plentiful amounts. Featured in this issue are Prickly Pear, Grape, Loquat, Black Mulberry, Fig, Lemon, Pear, Plum, Pomegrante, Watermelon, Orange, Olive, Peach, Apple, and Melon.
