The British Virgin Islands today released a set of four Christmas Stamps. Featured are the Century Plant (15c), Poinsettia (35c), InkBerry (60c), and Snow on the Mountain ($2.50).

The Century Plant and InkBerry are both shown in these stamps adorned with decorations. While the InkBerry is the traditional tree for the British Virgin Islands holidays, the Century Plant gained popularity over the last 30 years.

The Poinsettia and Snow on the Mountain plants thrive in the wonderful climate of the BVI. Much as the United States uses Poinsettia’s, the BVI’s use both Poinsettia and Snow on the Mountain plants. Just before Christmas the Poinsettia turns red and Snow on the Mountain begins to turn white, as seen in these two stamps.
