The new issue for the is turning out to be a rather scarce item, according to this article. The sheet of 20 has a face value of 1.2 yuan, and has been sold on the open market now for up to 70 yuan. This is for a stamp that was just issued on January 5! The stamps sold out on the first day of issue at all of the official outlets, and is now only available through the secondary market. Compounding the problem was the limited issue (4 million stamps) and a lot of the stamps being used for mail, leaving little for collectors. Unfortunately, I’ve been unable to find a good picture of the stamp, so here is a mouse a bit more familiar to everyone… :)
