Through rain and sleet and snow and… News Years Day! The Isle of Man post office was open for business on January 1st 2007, as part of the celebration of the TT2007 stamp issues. The Tourist Trophy motorcycle race meetings have been an important part of Island life for almost 100 years.
The Tourist Trophy happens each year, beginning the end of May and running two weeks. This event is brings with it a unique festival atmosphere as visitors and locals celebrate the coming of the finest riders and motorcycle manufacturers from all corners of the world.
As part of this stamp release, philatelists can obtain a wide variety of items, which include a mini sets, mini sheet sets, postcards, FDC’s, presentation pack, centenary set, centenery folder, centenery book, desk calendar. Whew! This indeed must be some event.
