Tristan Island Souvenir Sheet



There was a Souvenir Sheet released this week from Tristan Da Cunha. This sheet, Island Series PT7 M/Sheet, was issued January 22, 2006 and features six islands from that region. The Remote, Inaccessible, Nightengale, Middle, Stoltenhoff, and Gough Islands are shown on each stamp with a specific feature from the islands geographic area.

The Tristan Islands are located due west of The Cape of Good Hope and contains three volcanic islands. Currently Tristan has a population of about 300 people. For more on Tristan visit http://www.nationalgeographic.com/wildworld/profiles/terrestrial/at/at0803.html
