It’s the return of the Happy Birthday stamp in the United States. Santa Clara, California was home yesterday, June 23rd, to the first day release of this stamp. The .39-cent special stamp is part of the Holiday Celebrations series and was issued in a pane of twenty.

If you feel like you are having a moment of de ja vu, it is due to the fact that this design is identical to the last two Happy Birthday issues (with exception of denomination of course). For those of you keeping score… that’s Scott#3558 later becoming Scott#3695 that now becomes our 2006 Happy Birthday issue.
