In September, Great Britain is due to issue a set of stamps depicting scenes from popular telvison shows in honor of the 50th anniversary of Independant Television. In a story in The Guardian today, Jason Deans reveals that Benny Hill was “deemed unsuitable” on the grounds of poor taste and decency. I’m sure that will dissappoint many Benny Hill fans around the world, including myself.
