In today’s Washington Post, there is an excellent story about the Alexandria Blue Boy and the search for the letter that the provisional stamp paid for sending. As you will know, unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, the Washington 2006 World Philatelic Exhibition will be held in Washington, DC from May 27 through June 3. The Blue Boy, along with the aforementioned letter will be exhibited at the show, along with many, many other great rarities of the philatelic world. How I wish that I could go! If you are planning to go to Washington 2006, be sure to stop and see the Blue Boy exhibit, as this will be a once in a lifetime opportunity. You can read the Washington Post article here.
