Blue Maritius stamp featured in the Independant

In today’s The Indepent Online Edition, writer Jonathan Sale reviews the book Blue Mauritius, by Helen Morgan. In doing so, Sale provides a lot of background information on the stamps, which makes it an excellent mainstream media article about philately, although not a very good book review. I thought the story of the man who placed a personal ad stating that he only wanted to marry a woman who owned a Blue Mauritius was particularly interesting. As Sale says, “philately will get you everyewhere”. I wonder how many of us are THAT dedicated to our collections? :) Here is the link to the story.
