We’ve all seen them in foreign mixtures, those ubiquitous wavy lines definitive stamps from Denmark. As the longest lasting definitive series in the world (if I recall correctly), these stamps are worth a closer look. In this month’s Gibbons Stamp Monthly, Lars Jorgensen writes part 3 of a series of articles on the wavy lines stamps, this time discussing the recess printed varieties that were issued between 1933 and 2005. You can read the article for free here. To read the other two parts, you will need to have a subscription and access to past issues.
