In the “from out of left field” department, we have a story of an Iranian-American stamp collector who chose to donate approximately 3000 stamps to the Museum of Astan-e Qods (just try to pronounce that, I dare you). The article I’m referring to doesn’t really have much to offer in the way of details that philatelists would care about, but it is a nice story nonetheless.
