New Club in Boston
An article in the Old Colony Memorial by Rich Harbert, simply entitled Philately, tells the heartwarming story of the formation of a new stamp club in Plymouth, Massachussetts. The article is much more that that, however, as the author engages in a full discussion of the origins of philately and describes in layman’s terms just what the hobby is and who some of the characters involved are. It is nice to read about a new club forming, as it seems like we only hear about them closing these days. Kudos to the author of this wonderful article…I wish we would see more like it.
