Here is a heart-warming story of a group of survivors in Baghdad, who despite all the violence and upheaval, have managed to keep their little stamp club going. In spite of having to move their office twice in the last few years due to the violence, the Iraqi Philatelic and Coins Society, founded in 1951, has continued to hold their weekly meetings on Sundays. In spite of everything their passion for the hobby has not diminished, though the membership has dwindled a bit. All I’ve got to say is, good for them and keep the faith!

Despite of all the dangers in Iraq and specially for the travellers from Mosul to baghdad in this situation , I have used to travel from Mosul to baghdad 4 times a month to attend the Iraqi Philatelic & Coins Society meeting & auction every saterday , even this Society is placed in the center of baghdad which is the most dangerous area .
