Physicist’s work on Snowflake stamps

California Institute of Technology physics professor Kenneth Librecht will have his work displayed on stamps next year. The photographs that are used in the design of the Holiday Snowflakes stamps, due out next October, were taken by professor Librecht. The professor specializes in the study of pattern growth in crystal, particularly snowflakes, and runs a web site that is very popular: http://www.snowcrystals.com.
