Stamps and the Air Force

Today, there’s a story over on the Military Family Network that combines two things that hit close to home for me: The US Air Force and stamp collecting. You see, I was a member of the Air Force for 12 years starting right out of high school until I decided to leave for greener pastures back in 1999. While I don’t regret leaving the Air Force, I still look back on those days with fond memories. At any rate, the story in question focuses on one Major Todd Copley who has designed a cachet to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the US Air Force. Copley is a stamp collector as well, focusing on aviation. This is the second postmark that Copley has designed, the first being a cancel for the 1999 (sound familiar?) Little Rock AFB, Ark. air show. You can read the full story here.
