Don’t ask me how to pronounce it (haven’t got a clue), but the Daily NonPareil out of Council Bluffs, IA, has an article today on stamp collecting. The article focuses around a collector, one Paul Christofferson, who has been collecting stamps since high school and is now in his 70′s. The occasion prompting the article is undoubtedly the Omaha Stamp Show, which takes place this weekend. The show is an APS Champion of Champions show, so attendance is bound to be quite good. The article is a great example of the right way to publish collecting in the mainstream media. I have only one criticism about the article: the picture is a stampless cover, not a card.
