I always love an opportunity to post a gratuitous shot of the Inverted Jenny, so the following was happy news, indeed. StampWants is an online stamp auction/marketplace that I have used several times over the past year or two, and have had pretty good experiences. If you can’t find what you’re looking for elsewhere, you might give StampWants a try. In January, they plan to start charging listing and final auction fees, which will probably cull out all of the common singles that can be found at StampWants now. I’m a little disappointed about this, but there are other places to get the common stuff such as StampOffers or Stamporama. The C3a Inverted Jenny is the most popular United States stamp and has recently gained worldwide notoriety when election workers in Broward County, Florida claimed to have found one affixed to an absentee ballot last month. While that C3a was determined to be a fake, it still helped to promote philately throughout the world and was featured in most newspapers, televised newscasts and other media outlets.
