The North Shore Times, out of Australia, has a nice article in the 28 July edition that highlights the current trend of new collectors to opt for topical collecting rather than the more traditional forms of stamp collecting. I, for one, prefer the more traditional variety, one of each, type collecting, but I can certainly see the appeal of topical collecting. In a way, topical collecting makes a lot of sense as well because it is nearly impossible to form a complete collection of any country. Here is a link to the article.
