John DeBoo announced today over at Stamporama that the Constellation stamps are cracking when soaked, much as the Olympic stamps of 2004 did. Both stamps were printed by Ashton Potter on the same press (Type III, 0 PMU), using offset printing. Given this information, it may behoove collectors to watch out for further issues from Ashton Potter on this press to see if there is going to be a trend. At the very least these stamps need to be collected on piece, as soaking them will destroy the stamps.
