A local post in Ohio called Rattlesnake Island will be restarting after a 16 year hiatus from releasing stamps. Rattlesnake Island released stamps from 1967 to 1989 in a triangular format after a failed start in 1966 with a rectangular stamp, which ran afoul of USPOD regulations. Rattlesnake Island has been a popular sideline for US collectors for years, and was the subject of an award-winning exhibit at APS Stampshow not too long ago. An example is pictured below.
